Ready for action?
I’m going to ask once again that you consider experimenting with setting intentions. It’s just so powerful that I think it heeds another message! First, if you’re new to intentions, you may want to simplify and keep your focus on one main intention. Just pick the area of life that feels like it needs the most attention at the moment. Once you get the hang of it, you can begin to expand to more areas of your life. So, as a reminder, here are the questions for you to consider: How do I want to feel this week? How do I want to feel when I’m with my partner? How do I want to feel when I’m with my kids? How do I want to feel in my body/about my body this week? Make sure to jot down how you’d like to feel or leave it in the comments below. Once you’ve claimed how you want to feel, it’s time to take the next step. Ask yourself: What can I DO to help me feel the way I want to feel? Repeat this question throughout the week. Then take the necessary actions to help you feel the way you want. Here are some examples from my own intentions. If I want to feel energized, I can…
get to bed on time
eat clean, healthy food
exercise
take a nap if needed
If I want to feel organized, I can…
plan my meals & groceries
make lunches ahead of time
put clothes and papers away each day
focus on one task at a time
If I want to feel connected to my husband, I can…
be present and talk with him when he comes in from work
make eye contact
give him hugs and kisses
express appreciation
If I want to feel calm with my kids, I can…
take care of myself during the day
stay organized
be prepared for after school schedules
connect with each of them in the mornings, when I see them after school, and at night before bed
If I want to feel light and free in my body, I can…
eat clean & healthy
exercise
meditate
say affirmations of love to my body
Get the idea? The possibilities are endless. Warning: This is NOT a to-do list! I can choose to do any of these actions to help me feel my desired feelings, but I don’t need to check anything off a list and I don’t need to do everything perfectly every day! If I tried to everythingevery day, I’d just feel stressed out and angry - and that’s definitely NOT how I want to feel. Remember, if you’re new to this, just pick one intention and focus on it throughout the week. Over to you. Ready to give it a try? Give yourself a few minutes to brainstorm and then get ready to experiment with your week. Let me know how things flow for you! Thanks for playing! Love and light,
Mendy
