Feeling anxious about the year ahead?

(Note: This message was originally shared in January 2025. The workshop mentioned has passed, but the heart of this letter still holds true, especially if you're feeling the weight of the world right now.)
I'd be lying if I said that I think this is going to be a calm, peaceful year on the planet.
We're only a few days in and we've already witnessed a heartbreaking terrorist attack and one of the most devastating fires in our nation's history.
It seems that everything, including astrology, is pointing towards the likelihood of more disharmony and uncertainty on the planet. In fact, the only thing that feels certain is that we're living in tumultuous times.
If this is rattling your nervous system and you have trouble going on with life as usual, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
For the past few years, I've struggled with this personally. When something tragic happens in our world, not only does my nervous system get stuck in freeze response, my heart and my mind get caught in a continuous loop of questions like:
How do I just keep living my normal life?
What are we meant to do as individuals on the planet during these times?
I realize we all may have different answers to these questions, but the biggest answer that has come to me is simple: We rise.
What I know for sure is that we're all connected energetically.
If you're sensitive or empathic, you've probably been able to FEEL in your body the division, anger, and FEAR that have been a part of the collective energy of these times.
I believe the best way to elevate the collective energy is by raising our own individual energy.
If this is true, the questions then become:
How I can feel more peace, love, gratitude and joy in my life?
How can I embody these emotions even as I meet the moments that are difficult?
I'm not suggesting we ignore what's happening in the world or bypass our emotional response. We can stay informed, process our emotions, share in the collective grief and take inspired action to assist those in need.
I am suggesting that we do what we can to not get STUCK in our patterns of sadness, anger, guilt and fear. This means we take responsibility for our own emotions, our energy and the lives we create and share with others.
This is why, in the midst of the beginning of an already chaotic year, I'm choosing to host my New Year's workshop:
