I can't believe this happened!
Happy New Year! My year started in quite an unexpected way. I am dictating these words to you because I am unable to type. I am unable to do pretty much anything right now due to the fact that I have broken both my wrists.
On December 30th, I decided to try to jump onto my son's new jump box that he got for Christmas. He's working on his vertical for basketball, and I have often told him that he gets his jumping ability from me. So naturally I had to try this for myself. Although I did make it to the top, (a very important detail to this story), I quickly lost my balance and fell backwards and then caught myself with my wrists. I knew immediately that they were broken.
Needless to say, this is not how I envisioned ending 2021 or beginning 2022. Instead of forging ahead with fresh intentions and goals, life has brought everything to a screeching halt.
I know I will be processing this for the weeks and months to come, and I will look forward to sharing some of the lessons that this challenge will be certain to teach me. Right now, I am giving myself plenty of space to feel all of my emotions and I'm focusing on accepting the help that I simply can't do without. I'm already feeling overwhelmingly grateful for all the loving, supportive and generous people in my life.
I hope your new year started in a much more positive way! Despite my setback I still feel optimistic about 2022 and I wish you all the best.
Love, light and healing,
